Umberto Nardolicci, also known as “Nardo,” has led an extraordinary life journey. He was born and raised in upstate New York and developed a passion for innovation and service early in life, which led him to join the military—a path that would profoundly impact his life.
Nardo served in the U.S. Navy and was injured during his time in service, leaving him a disabled veteran. He remained resilient and determined. After his military service, he transitioned into civilian life, working at Johns Hopkins University, and became a successful software engineer. Throughout his career, he has worked on several leading-edge projects that left an indelible mark on many industries. From high-tech missile systems to the largest healthcare system in the world, Nardo has worked with some of the best and brightest.
He remains dedicated to working with cutting-edge tech company, GigaTECH and serving as an Executive Consultant and Board Member of multiple organizations. All the while, his passion for storytelling, the martial arts, and his fellow veterans continued to burn within him. In 2022, he picked up a pen and embarked on a new adventure, delving into historical fiction, weaving tales of honor, sacrifice, and resilience into his characters' journey. His novels and passion project, The War of Fear trilogy, bring to life a long-standing desire to tell the story of an amazing warrior.
The pages of Nardo’s novels transport readers to pivotal historical moments, where heroes and heroines grappled with their demons while fighting for a better world. His characters bring history to life and give readers a glimpse of the horrors of war, the camaraderie of battle, and the enduring spirit of those who served. His mission, however, extends beyond entertainment. Nardo uses this platform to raise awareness about veterans’ struggles and advocate for their well-being, donating all proceeds from this book to veteran organizations.
Nardo’s legacy is one of honor, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the written word and the veterans who have given so much. His journey from the battlefield to author is a testament to the power of storytelling and the indomitable spirit of those who serve.
